Air Movement Supplies Ltd is an independent British manufacturer of acoustic attenuators, circular silencers, and ventilation accessories for the industrial and building services sector. Founded in 2001 and operating from Portsmouth, AMS has supplied primary plant OEMs and trade distributors across the UK for over two decades.
Acquired by the Excell Engineering Group in 2016, AMS continues to operate under its own brand with its own commercial identity. The acquisition was a natural fit – Excell had been supplying metal spinnings to AMS before the two companies formally joined forces.
Products are manufactured in Hampshire using high-quality sourced materials and are held in stock for next-day dispatch on standard items. A bespoke manufacturing service covers non-standard dimensions, alternative materials, and custom finishes.
Acoustic attenuators & ventilation accessories
AMS manufactures a comprehensive range of circular attenuators, rectangular silencers, and fan accessories for the UK industrial and building services sector. Standard sizes are held in stock for next-day dispatch; bespoke products are manufactured to order.
S Series – Circular Attenuators
Spigot connection circular attenuators suited to spiral ductwork, tube/box fans, and air handling units. 50mm acoustic infill as standard. Diameters 100mm to 500mm; standard lengths 300, 600, 900, and 1200mm. Bespoke lengths up to 1500mm on request. Melinex lining option available at no extra cost for moist, greasy, or clean air applications.
F Series – Fan Mountable Attenuators
Cylindrical attenuators designed to bolt directly to metric axial flow fans or connect to ductwork via optional matching flanges. Two sets of threaded insert hole patterns as standard (A and X/dual). Diameters 315mm to 1250mm; available in 1D and 2D lengths. Acoustic pod option available for enhanced performance across the full sound spectrum.
Rectangular Attenuators
Bespoke rectangular silencers made to order. Manufacturing capabilities up to 1200mm in length, width, and height using galvanised or stainless steel construction. Available with alternative materials and custom finishes. Lead time approximately 7 working days – contact the AMS sales team to discuss requirements.
Fan Flanges & Mounting Feet
Spiral male fit flanges for direct fan connection in sizes 250mm to 1250mm. Fan mounting feet with dual pattern X as standard up to 1000mm; specials available for bifurcated fans. Sold in pairs and available from stock to suit most fan manufacturers' products.
Flexible Connectors
Four material grades covering sizes 150mm to 1250mm. All supplied with stainless steel worm drive clips. PVC (general use, 90°C max), BM1060/Revertex (acoustic grade, minimised noise breakout), SC250 (hi-temp for bifurcated fans, 250°C max), and AFG/10 FR (fire rated, emergency fume extract, up to 500°C single event use).
Anti-Vibration Mounts & Accessory Packs
Rubber compression mounts in six grades covering 4kg to 180kg per mount, sold as sets of four. Complete fan accessory packs available for axial and bifurcated fans, containing flanges, mounting feet, flexible connectors, and anti-vibration mounts – everything needed for a professional installation in a single order.
