Excell Metal Spinning Ltd
The founding company of the group, established in December 2000 by Lee Bligh and Neil Hunt. Excell Metal Spinning is a precision metal spinning and manufacturing company operating from a 21,000+ square foot facility in Portsmouth.
With one of the largest hand spinning departments in the UK and the largest CNC metal spinning fleet south of Birmingham, Excell supplies precision-spun components to customers across aerospace, automotive, defence, marine, oil and gas, medical, lighting, and architecture.
Air Movement Supplies Ltd
An independent British manufacturer of acoustic attenuators, circular silencers, and ventilation accessories for the industrial and building services sector. Founded in 2001 and acquired by the Excell Engineering Group in 2016, AMS operates under its own brand with its own client base and commercial identity.
Supplying M&E contractors, HVAC installers, building services engineers, and primary plant OEMs across the UK since 2001. Stocked items available for next-day delivery.
Metamex Engineering
Launched in January 2022 as part of a £250,000 group expansion, Metamex Engineering is a precision CNC machining company based in Portsmouth. Founded to bring in-house the precision machining and cutting capabilities the group previously outsourced, Metamex now serves both the wider group and external clients across the UK.
Services include CNC turning, CNC milling, fibre laser cutting, and CAD design. Over 3,800 projects delivered since opening. Metamex regularly produces tooling for Excell Metal Spinning's metal spinning operations.
The Heritage, Excell
A premium British cookware brand producing handcrafted, tin-lined copper pans made in Portsmouth. Launched in December 2025, The Heritage, Excell is the consumer-facing expression of Excell Metal Spinning's copper-spinning expertise – the same Portsmouth workshop, the same craft, applied to cookware built to last a lifetime.
Every pan is formed individually by hand from a flat copper disc and lined with tin over an open flame. Endorsed by Michelin Guide chef Gary Pearce and TV chef Gill Meller. Buy once, cook forever.
